How To Fix Unfortunately, Settings has stopped Error on Android

we suggest trying method one first and if that doesn’t work then proceed to try method two. We also have further methods for more troubleshooting.

  1. From any Home screen, tap Apps.
  2. Tap Settings.
  3. Scroll to ‘APPLICATIONS,’ then tap Application manager.
  4. Swipe right to the ALL screen.
  5. Scroll to and tap Facebook.
  6. Tap Clear cache button.
  7. Tap Clear data button, then OK.
  8. Tap Uninstall, then OK.

Method 1: Clear Cache

The first method for fixing the error for the Messages error is to clear the cache of both the Google Play Store and Messages. Follow the steps below to clear your cache for Messages.

Open the settings app on your device

Scroll to ‘Apps’

Scroll down and find Messages, then tap it

Tap ‘Storage’

Method 2: Download Latest Play Store .apk Files

– A notification will appear on your device asking to update Messages. Tap the notification and install the update.

Method 4: Factory Reset
